Privacy Policy

How Focus Online collects and uses personal data when you inquire about financial audit of expense reporting applications.

Data controller

Data we collect

  • Identity and contact details you submit (name, email, phone if provided)
  • Inquiry content (selected audit type, reporting period, message)
  • Technical data such as browser type, approximate region, and pages visited when analytics cookies are accepted
  • Engagement records if you become a client (handled under a separate engagement letter)

Purposes

We process data to respond to inquiries, schedule scoping conversations, deliver contracted audit work, improve the website when analytics are enabled, and meet legal record-keeping duties in South Korea.

Depending on the context, we rely on steps prior to entering a contract, our legitimate interest in operating a professional practice, consent for non-essential cookies, and legal obligations for retention of certain business records.

Retention

Inquiry emails and form submissions are kept up to 24 months unless a longer period is required for an active engagement or dispute. Client engagement files follow retention periods stated in the engagement letter, typically five to seven years for audit working papers. Analytics data, when collected, is retained in aggregate form for up to 14 months.

Sharing

We use service providers for email, hosting, and (if accepted) analytics. Providers process data under instructions and confidentiality commitments. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information when required by law or competent authorities in South Korea.

International transfers

If a provider stores data outside South Korea, we assess safeguards such as contractual clauses and provider security measures before transfer.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. To exercise rights, email hello@focus-online.digital. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) in South Korea.

Children

This site is directed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the date on publication. Material changes affecting clients will also be communicated through engagement channels where appropriate.
